If there’s one thing that always sweetens up summer, it’s peach season. It’s the perfect time to enjoy a classic peach cobbler and or grab a scoop of peaches ‘n’ cream ice cream. And what better place to enjoy fresh peaches than in the Peach State?
Our company may have national reach, but each city team is made up of locals who know their way around the food scene. Our Atlanta team is no different. And because a major part of our culture revolves around supporting sustainable and community-focused practices, we make an effort to support local establishments inside and outside the office. So when it comes to finding delicious peachy offerings around Atlanta, we focused on local spots or restaurants that are supporting area farms like Pearson Farms. Here are a places with peach creations that captured our attention.
Revolution Doughnuts — If you’re going to have a ‘Treat Yourself’ day, head over to this Atlanta doughnut shop for vegan Peach Sliders. Revolution slices a sugar-coated doughnut in half and fills it with slivers of golden Pearson Farm peaches for a Georgia-approved treat. All doughnuts are made with organic flour, local dairy, fresh fruit, natural flavor extracts and 100% trans-fat free vegetable oil.
Muss & Turner’s — If you’re craving something completely out of the ordinary, head to the suburbs to Smyrna’s Muss & Turner’s. A gluten-free item on the menu, the Magret Duck Breast features grilled Pearson Farm peaches, Tucker Farm’s baby bok choy and sansho miso aioli.
Ria’s Bluebird — The only way to take brunch to the next level is to add peaches! Ria’s Bluebird, an Atlanta favorite, puts a Georgia spin on buttermilk pancakes by topping them off with peaches and a generous swirl of house-made whipped cream.
Butter & Cream — As one of Atlanta’s beloved hometown ice cream shops, Butter & Cream is where you’ll find the classics. They’re offering a seasonal Peaches and Cream ice cream made from Pearson peaches and a vegan Peach Sorbet. You can also enjoy a scoop in a gluten-free cone.
Farm Burger — Farm Burger may not be a local spot, but one of its missions is to source locally as much as possible and adjust its menu to seasonal flavors. During the summer, Atlanta’s Farm Burger restaurants offer a seasonal Peach Burger featuring grass-fed beef, local peach compote, mixed greens and feta cheese.
